Science Museum Trip
Years 1 and 2 had a fantastic trip to the London Science Museum for the start of their new topic 'Explorers'. In small groups, they were able to look at exhibits in the space exploration gallery where there were real rockets and shuttles on display. They took part in a workshop led by museum staff where they found out about travel in space and what it is like to be an astronaut. The children also loved the Pattern Pod where there were lots of interactive activities related to patterns in nature and every day life. Towards the end of the day, the groups also went into a Life at Home exhibition where they could see how everyday objects have changed over the years and find out about the process of invention.
Have a look in the Gallery to see a few photos from the trip.
