It's been a term packed with Great Fires of London, Egyptians, Lionesses, new classrooms and so much more!

The Grove have been working really hard on Place Value this week.

The new school year has started with a bang! Lots of amazing learning in class, and Year 6 on Residential or at Camp Stayback. It's been wonderful to see all the children engaged and showing their best selves!

What a brilliant start to the last half term of the year! Author visits, athletics tournaments, kurling events, volcanoes and a wonderful Health and Wellbeing week. As always, the children have made us so proud!

Super busy couple of weeks! Self led learning days, galaxy art, Coronation picnic, and of course our win at the Pride of Bracknell awards!

EYFS showed great teamwork building houses for the 3 Little Pigs, and used super investigation skills to work out how to improve them.

Year 5 learning about the properties of different materials to make a shelter, and also working on their 2 digit multiplication.

Year 5 and 6 had a taste of Caribbean food as part of their learning about the Windrush Generation. They also had a chance to share their own food creations with parents and carers at the learning showcase!

A great time was had by all at our very festive Christmas Fayre

More great learning across the school this week: Isaac Newton, PSHE, Fine Motor Skills, and a bit of wind down reading.

What a great start to the school year! From Norse mythology, maths, textiles, some amazing writing....we've seen a bit of everything in the last couple of weeks

This week Reception have been learning to draw people, Year 5/6 have had a GOALS workshop, and Mrs D took on the challenge of a 24 hour walk for charity!

We had an amazing Jubilee celebration day on Friday 10th June! The children all had so much fun, especially at the giant tea party on the playground. Congratulations to all the children who received a Pride of the Pines award, nominated by the other children. You are a credit to the school. After that was our Summer Fayre, which was FANTASTIC! Thank you to our whole school community for supporting us. And an enormous thank you to Mrs Evans (and her family) who worked tirelessly to ensure the event was such a success.

It's been a week of growing....our knowledge in class, our resilience in SATS, and maybe even a tree or two!

Pictures of our learning this week. It was great to see the sunshine!
